Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy Honored the Memory of Those Who Fell in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 During a Memorial Ceremony Dedicated to the Day of Memory and Sorrow

On the eve of June 22, Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy held a memorial ceremony attended by students, faculty, university staff, and invited guests.
The hosts of the ceremony reminded everyone of the significance of June 22, 1941—a date forever etched into the collective memory of our peoples. The event highlighted the historical importance of this day and emphasized the need to preserve the memory and truth of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people.
Speeches were delivered by Viktor Stanislavovich Bavykin, Rector of Amur State University of Humanities and Pedagogy; Nikolai Piruzovich Bugaets, Senior Sergeant and Chairman of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur branch of the "Association of Veterans of the Special Military Operation "; and Bishop Nikolai of Amur and Chegdomynsk.
Following the speeches, the attendees observed a moment of silence to honor the memory of those who perished in the war. Then, students arranged lit candles around the icon of the Kazan Mother of God. Afterwards, representatives of the university's flag group laid flowers at the memorial stone dedicated to teacher-volunteers who went to the front.
